2018 Syrah

Ciel du Cheval Vineyard – Benton City, WA

As one of the oldest vineyards in the Red Mountain AVA, Ciel du Cheval has been producing some of the top fruit in the state for decades. This clone 174 Syrah absolutely thrives in this incredibly warm, calcium rich sandy loam soil.

The first word that comes to mind when tasting this 2018 Syrah from Red Mountain is "silky". Not only is this wine rich with deep, dark fruit flavors, it also proves that not all red varietals need extensive time in the bottle to soften out. This wine can absolutely be enjoyed now and will be supple and smooth yet bursting with flavor!
